The Lavington-based pharmacy Terry White Chemists ranked first among 161 Australian pharmacies.

On winning the "Pharmacy of the Year" award, Jeff Nelson, owner, said that Lavington had appeared on the map. "Western Australians know Albury-Wodonga, but they don't know where Lavington is. But now I don't have to mention Albury-Wodonga, I can say Lavington" – says Jeff.

The Lavington pharmacy is twice smaller than many other pharmacies across the country. Jeff Nelson was impressed by the fact that he had surpassed the level of service of many major pharmacies in the capital. He was convinced that high service quality helped him get high scores from mystery shoppers and win.

"I was shocked by this victory but it came true due to my team, because they worked hard and tried to keep the bar high. This achievement is the result of hard work," he said.
