Twelve companies from Hawera, New Zealand will be nominated for an award as part of the annual project «Bizlink Business Awards» (Business of the Year Award).
More than 125 companies participated in a Mystery Shopping survey conducted by HOED Mystery Shopping NZ Ltd, an independent company.
Each company was assessed according to a standard questionnaire which included: the appearance of the location, how the staff met and greeted customers, staff sales knowledge, and additional product offerings. Companies of many industries (including retail, manufacturing, health care, and the food industry) have entered the finals of the competition.
The prizes will be awarded in four categories: Trade and Services, Retail, Hospitality, and Professionalism.
Rangi Coleman, project coordinator, was impressed with the survey results. "The mystery shoppers gave out high scores; this shows the good job the companies do and the high quality service customers receive in our city. It's unfortunate that each category can have only one winner", Mr. Coleman said.
